UPSL Tryouts
Tryout sessions will be in May & June. Attendance will be required to be on a team.
Players need to attend as many tryout sessions as possible to get a fair evaluation for all the players. Attending 1 session makes it difficult to be placed on a team.
Players may be offered a position at any time during the process. Players are being considered for a position until they are notified otherwise.
Practices will begin in July/August. The first games are to begin in September.
We will play in the Mid-Atlantic region consisting of SC & NC, & Southern VA.
Player fees will be $675 for the season. This includes all training fees, league fees, referee fees, coach fees, insurance, and administrative/facilities costs. For players already registered at Spartanburg United, any previously paid fees will be accounted for during the registration and the fee reduced.
To create the best training environment, teams may consist of 14-17 fully rostered players and 5 additional pool players who will train with the team and are not guaranteed to play in all games. They will be at all training and earn the opportunity to play in games as openings are available. Their fee will be less than the regular fee.
Unique uniforms for the UPSL Academy will be purchased individually through Lloyd’s Soccer. Kits will be approx. $150 and include a home, away, and a training jersey along with shorts and socks.
